That would drive me crazy, I hate when you finally remove a sticker and it's all nasty.

I'm at a loss for words. A bit of common sense Isn't too much to ask.

In my locality, the price tag (or bar code) Is placed on the clear plastic cover, meaning the packaging. I do hope all remnants can be removed with minimal damage.

I managed to remove the sticker without damaging the sleeve.

I used a blow dryer on low to medium heat to warm the sticker and adhesive, then slowly peeled from the corner. The sticker came off, but left a bit of paper and residue. I then applied goo gone to a q-tip, rolled the goo gone q-tip onto a paper towel to the point the q-tip was damp, but did not make the paper towel wet. Finally, I gently rubbed the remaining adhesive with the q-tip, and then wiped the sleeve with a dry paper towel to rub away the adhesive and make sure no goo gone remained on the sleeve.
