This is literally one side of a story, you don't go around shooting shit because its on your property.

Honestly there are two sides to this story, and nothing is ever as it's portrayed by the media.

TIP to drone owners: Do not fly drones over people's property!

TIP to people with daughters: Do not have daughters!

You have a right to hurt / attack someone if they are commiting a crime (this case trespassing.)

That is literally two different things. Can I shoot my neighbor who is asking for some sugar on my property because he is trespassing?

Somehow I missed the "sunbathing" part. Even more justified.

Especially since it's invading privacy, what's more is that if he was actually looking at the girls (the drone controller, that is), then any father in his right mind would try to take that down. And, if someone is on your property, without permission mind you, then it does give you the right (and you think he's the dumb one lol).

Morals != laws

Well first of all he's a redneck, listen to his voice, that automatically makes him dumb.
He wasn't really invading privacy by just looking around, I hate those over protective father faggotz who get pissed of when someone simply interestingly looks at their daughters, it's retarded and outdated way of thinking.

Yes but who cares if someone is trespassing as long as they dont have a malicious intent? If someone walked through my yard, or even stood in it, I wouldn't give a shit as long as they weren't doing anything malicious, be reasonable.

If you're going to fly a drone, do it in a field or your own yard, don't be flying into other peoples' yards taking videos of them. How would you like it if I came into your yard and just started walking around with a camera taking videos of all your family that was there? You wouldn't like it and I guarantee that.

Bear in mind this guy is an idiotic redneck, think about who you are siding with. Anyways, just because someone flys over your yard in a drone doesn't give you the right to destroy their 1.8k$ property. 1.8k$ fine basically for "trespassing" (without a malicious intention).

**law enforcement needs to set a precedent so they can justify their own use of drones

Very good point. I find it sad that people are actually alright with drones flying around. I wouldn't want them on or above my property (and I'll be smart enough to use a BB/pellet gun).

I honestly think that with robotics (drones included there) becoming a big thing, there should be no exception on laws. SOMEBODY had to instruct that thing in some manner to do what it did, therefore the drone should be considered a version of the owner or operator.

If I was hovering in front of your daughter's face in your fenced back yard, would it be wrong to shoot me?

We haven't quite gotten around to laws on robots yet, but would you want a robotic representation of a human entering your property? It should be the same with any electronic entity.

Exactly as I said.....If I back a tractor trailer through your fence, it's tresspassing (among other things). I did not actually enter it but I forced something to.
