I'm glad to see the departments targeting the sites themselves rather then their users as they have done before.
A DDoS use to be (as to what I remember) a godly method of taking off anyone/anything that was in your way as long as you had an IP, which would be useful to show/utilize a particular situation and be able to profit, gain or just piss someone off because you had the capability. Nowadays getting an IP is easy as counting 1.. 2.. 3.. and Google for a DDoS site is even easier, making it the worse gimmick hacker marketing tool out there. Any individual who has their fair share of experience in computing knows that 9/10 sites have heavy repercussions prepared for a DDoS, especially by these shitty saturated attack methods. If someone really wanted to do some heavy damage with a DDoS, good luck finding that/those individuals behind it with hired/rented/maintenanced Botnets + the capability of their OpSec.
I don't know I'm a bit disappointing by the FBI, back in the days I would idolize them catching criminals who have heavily effected the financial/economical/societal system - especially with the methodology of profiling, psychological evaluations, targeting, and what not. (no not movie like)
Now they seem to target the individuals who just bought a saturated DDoS hosting source, bought a couple of packets/shells and just resell the license to make some quick cash.
