I just got home from watching it (came out today in Canada) and it's probably my favorite movie ever.

The synopsis is Caleb, a programmer at Bluebook (basically google), wins some kind of competition to do a special study for Bluebook's CEO, Nathan. After arriving at his estate, he's told he needs to administer the Turing test on an AI that Nathan created. It all starts fine but gets increasingly twisted as the movie progresses.

This is the perfect movie for us nerds. Anyone without a deep, almost Englidh-teacher-like perspective on the subject would pass it off as a "good movie" and nothing more. With an understanding of programming and computers, as well as good common sense, it's absolutely fucking terrifying. Go watch it, seriously.

Think about it, though. Ava's brain is bluebook. And seeing as she's a total sociopath, that means bluebook users, as a whole, are criminally sociopathic. Scary thoughts.
