Erase a sweeper bot #1
Hello everyone, I got hacked into my MetaMask account by a sweeper bot.

This means that as soon as I receive a transaction it goes directly to another wallet. I wanted to know if there was a way to remove this thing from my computer?

I can't find anything on the internet about it

For peace of mind, perform a clean Installation of the OS.

Is your PC running Windows?

If there are restore points available, try hitting a System Restore, obviously to the date of when your PC was malicious-free.

Thanks I didn't know that existed, for this to work I guess the restore points had to be done on my side. I didn't do that anyway. I think I'll transfer the contents of my C drive to an external hard drive, and I'll reset Windows, it will be easier and safer

Windows automatically creates restore points, so check whether you have any available prior to the virus.

Good to know thx !

Btw Something interesting to note is that I have bitdefender in paid version and I do very often scans and it has never reported anything. Is this usually a crap software or is the virus very well done?

Bitdefender Is an excellent form of protection, probably on par with Kaspersky, Avira, ESET and Norton.

If a virus Is coded to be FUD (Fully Undetectable), It will bypass each and every AV - which may have been the case with your Infection.
