I believe the preservation of freedom of speech is the most important thing for democracy. Elon purchased twitter to preserve this. It has been proven that the government does intervene with social media companies to suppress information. We found this out through Zuckerberg with the Hunter Biden laptop.

Arguably Elon's biggest contribution to humanity. He once said "for Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally." X can go bankrupt, but at least it's not being controlled by the state or corporate interests. Disney tried to blackmail him with money, and he basically told them to go fuck themselves.

Censorship is a very real issue and it's becoming accepted under the guise of "making people feel comfortable". Which is dangerous for everyone, regardless of your political affiliation. I'd rather see platforms allow hate speech, than become heavily censored echo chambers. The latter only serves dictators and oligarchs.
