Donated blood for the first time

Today was my first time giving blood to charity.
I am terrified of needles and I get sick when looking at blood, but I did it anyway.
I gave 450ml of my blood witch is the standard amount, the staff told me that my blood could save the lives of 3 people.
While giving blood I felt sick and I hated myself for going there, but after it ended I felt awesome.
In 2 months I can give blood again if I want to, Don't know if I will.

So I'm curios, has anyone form the form ever gave blood to charity? If so, what was the experience like?

I haven't given blood out yet. I want to do it though, but I'm not doing it right now since I still smoke pot sometimes and I don't want it to have a bad effect on my blood.

I'm not really afraid of needles, I have had way more pain than that.

That's excellent that you gave blood.

I did It many years ago, and knowing that lives can be saved as a result, Is a really good feeling. Given I'm not afraid of needles, I should do It more often.

Yeah. I'd only do it if my blood type were rare. Otherwise I hate needles (and seeing my blood siphoned).

It scared me at first, I came in saw everything, turned around and left, I was scared of giving blood. Than my friend told me that if I am thinking of giving blood, I should, because it can save lives. At that moment I turned around, went in, filled in the form and gave my blood.
(For the record: that friend didn't give blood because he was scared...)

I also thought that at first, I checked the internet and saw that my blood type is prety comon and thought "My blood is prety worthless", but it turns out that it's not - the fact that a lot of people have it dosen't mean that lot's of people donate. They still need your blood!

Donating blood is something great, good job @Pikami .
I've done it last year a friend grandma was in hospital and needed blood so i gave my blood and she died after a week or a month can't remember.

The thought of the possibility of my blood being used patients that might have a Sinisterly account scares me away from it. D:
