I wouldn't say stupid but I would say easier to control. I believe religion is used alot of the time to control the sheeple

No, religion itself does not make people stupid. Intelligence and critical thinking abilities are not determined by one's religious beliefs or affiliation.

You can believe in any higher power and still be extremely intelligent.
I know a few people who believe in higher powers just so they don't have to be as afraid of dying.

Lack of education and critical thinking is what makes people stupid. Religion just makes it easier to control those people.

There are and have been smart religious people, so no it doesn't make you stupid, but the fanaticism that can come with it makes people fight over stupid things

I think the way religion is used for control is stupid. But I don't think people are stupid for having a faith.
