RE: Do you want to be in a relationship? #71
In my personal (although not very full of events) experience, you don’t really “need” a relationship. Whenever you do, it isn’t probably going to turn out well. If you are staying with someone out of a simple need or because you don’t want to feel “alone”, you are very likely to live it the “wrong” way (provided there is a “right” way to live a relationship, since each one can be different from the others). In most cases, if you “need” a relationship you’re likely to learn something bad out of pain. And I say so because it happened to me.

I went through something similar for 10 years - a waste of a decade of my life.

But In the end, I've come out better and stronger than ever.

What more can you ask for from a tough moment in life?

I think this is a major reason for people who decide to get into relationships. because for me, i only prefer relationships over single life because of loneliness. but apart from that, being single is better. And if it's about making love, you can surely pay for that.

I absolutely agree.

It had a huge Impact on my life, but I'm so glad It happened. I'm now the person I always was, but couldn't be at the time of the relationship.

That sounds like a much more peaceful way to be.

Personally, I understand that relationships are a lot of work. I guess I wouldn't want to put too much effort into it.
