Very well said.

Although nowadays tattoos can be removed, the (removal) process still leaves scarring/Imperfections to the skin, so they're never completely gone.

That's true and it is very expensive, so I think it should not be a decision to be taken lightly.

The ink can be diffused and recolored. It's easier to do a cover-up if you've got a bad tattoo. Removal looks terrible and it never goes as well as they advertise.

I've just Googled recoloring of tattoos, and the result Is quite Impressive.

It was hardly noticeable.

Despite most females having at least ear piercings, I don't have a single piercing or tattoo. Not that there's anything wrong with either. I just am not a fan of the permanence of something like that. I've had a henna done and don't mind using myself as a canvas with some paints/eyeliner pens, however, I'm quite pleased to be able to remove it at the end of the day.

I had a LOT of ear infections as a kid, so anything around my ears really grosses me out, and I cannot touch someone else's used earrings without gagging. Weird quirk but hey ho.

I've met some people who have had loads done. One of them was seriously considering getting hit tongue split, like a snake. Scary stuff, especially as he'd have to learn how to talk again.

Once I wanted to have my ears pierced but then for no apparent reason changed my mind. Maybe on 2nd thought I will get back to this idea in the future but not now Smile

Completely understandable, especially if we take into account your medical history. I also enjoy having fun with paints and makeup, it is the perfect option to experiment without making it permanent.

I sincerely believe that making the decision to get a tattoo or piercing should not be taken lightly.

I am going to talk specifically about piercings because they are the ones I am familiar with. This is a very delicate procedure that if the necessary care is not taken can have very serious consequences.

That's a very good point about looking after your piercings. I'm sure we've all known people who have suffered infections at one point or another.

I've recently started following some body painters, what a way to have a tattoo for a day eh? XD
