Ironically, China wasn't as affected by the pandemic. Once it was properly established that the disease was present, they shut down, hardcore and quickly. I'd also argue, recommendations/new laws from the government would likely be better followed by Chinese citizens, than those in the UK and US, where we have obviously flouted laws and regulations trying to protect us from the disease.

It's depressing to see this, but not surprising. However, this time in 10 years, we will be fine.

Thoughts are with those who have lost jobs, homes and/or loved ones.

I believe this Is a rather accurate figure.

In my country, the health minister has said that he cannot see the economy to "start picking up" In 5 years from now, let alone completely recover.

Absolutely.

It's devastating to say the least.

I'm sure there will be ongoing effects. But for everyone's day to day life, at least in developed nations, I'm sure we will feel somewhat normal at that point.

I certainly agree.

2020 has been a very bad year. Fingers crossed next year kicks off with some hope of eliminating the virus altogether.

A lot of people have lost their homes, jobs and loved ones.

A terrible year to say the least.
