Well same idea for most NFT products : because someone will be willing to pay even more later. Don't try to find some logic. Just people making money on money. Wink

I seriously, seriously don't understand what all of the NFT fuss is about. It's just another stupid idea to throw your money at. If you have that much money to blow on a PNG file that you don't even really own, why not just invest in cryptocurrency?

There's no guarantee they will, but it's always possible. Generally the highest bidder is either the richest or the dumbest, for a reason.

Not guarantee yeah, but the bid going that high probably doesn't mean they're all stupid, they're just confident they still will be able to make some profit later (with more stupid people haha).
And they could be right seeing how quickly NFT's second hand market is growing :

Well it does use cryptocurrencies (which is good for cryptos!), it's just some way to make a token unique. Those objects/arts/softwares/etc are totally not tech-related, you don't actually own anything except a unique token, it's just a convention. Another stupid way for rich people to play with their money.
