someone would say something similar to this about bitcoin back in 2009 when it was extremely cheap and not popular, no one would imaging that it will change the world. i would agree for some stupid art, but not the whole NFT idea,i would advise jiggly to think about this deeply(i know she is into art right ?), for me i think NFT will be a big thing like so many people will think about it, maybe in future gamers will require NFT names (domain) to play Online and they can't have similar name to an owned name (popular names will be sold or trade),require NFT profile photo ,NFT signature ? and who doesn't own the real NFT (original) will be forced to take it down ?. there are alot of people who buy limited Nike or other brands with high price from the store, its the same as that for an NFT and also to support the creator too. its much more reliable and authentic. so many people around the world would like to possess the original 'Mona Lisa' , did you know that scientificly hard and costly to distinguish between the original mona lisa and a very well made copy of it ? but in the world of NFT its much easier , specialy if the creator is popular.in the end the business is in the hand of the powerful, guess if Microsoft go NFT in one of their games for example Minecraft Skins and in order to use your prefered skin you must have it as an NFT ? look how much business will come from just that . i am sure all of you here who like MC will atleast have 1 NFT skin. NFTs are nice idea and who knows if all the biggest companies will join together and make use of it. maybe your best pfp that will be NFT in the future and only one person can have it across all the forums/Platforms/accounts ?.

Well same idea for most NFT products : because someone will be willing to pay even more later. Don't try to find some logic. Just people making money on money. Wink

So bizarre. Imagine being that girl when she's 20 and knowing how much money was traded for that... xD

gamers will require NFT names (domain) to play Online and they can't have similar name to an owned name (popular names will be sold or trade),require NFT profile photo ,NFT signature ?
You don't need NFT for that though, imo it doesn't add anything tech-related.
What you're talking about is just a certification authority, centralised or not, NFT or not, it doesn't change much. For your example of games, game company will anyway have to authenticate NFT tokens in advance, acting already like a centralised authority. Plus NFT use ETH but you could use pretty much any blockchain for a decentralised one.

But I'm only talking in a technical point of view, trends don't have to make sense Wink

I don't think what I do lends itself well to NFT. Although, I must admit, I have very limited knowledge of NFT, and don't really understand why it has any value over things like bitcoin.

as i said if big comapanies join together to force you on this, then you will have too (about NFT signatures, pfp etc) and cannot be centralized even if the game company process the authentication because other companies can look at the ETH database too, unless the company creates its own blockchain which i didn't talk about. as for that was my opinion about how can NFT be used in future but currently its mostly on rare/collectibles art and game industry. other companies going to sell tickets using NFTs , and for the bitcoin its not suitable for NFTs so the blockchain that i am talking about is the Etherium blockchain.

simply bitcoin is a currency that is fungible, an NFT is Non-Fungible Token means Unique, it gains value by its users since the NFT can hold more data than a Currency and for the ETH its driven from the BTC blockchain, any Digital artist/all related audio artists etc can benefit from this and sell their art through NFTs, means there is no man in the middle companies that take big percentage cut from them. and its much more easier to identify authenticity from a popular artist NFT or a football player's limited NFT signatures than a Physical one.there are AI driven NFTs and there is a popular game based on NFTs called cryptokitties (cryptokitties (dot) co ). its a big trend and maybe it will be a big thing in future. (i am also not deep in this trend i am still learning more about its opportunities).

Works for pretty much anything  xD

As I was saying the NFT itself doesn't prove anything, only the game provider or whatever can confirm this is in fact something related to a game (or whatever it is).. An NFT alone IS NOT a digital asset, at the essence it's just a signature, usually linked to an URL or something. And that something is not part of the blockchain (and thus, could die). Your asset (avatar or whatever) is not on NFT, only its hash.

Yes I know ! I'm just saying NFT is just a simple concept that could use almost any blockchain. Not BTC yeah, but Bitcoin Cash yes with "Flow", and possibly lots of others (for example TRON too). It's basically just adding some text to a transaction.

It's simply a means of collecting, so that's not what I'm bashing. Sports cards or art are an example of NFTs that I would expect to retain value. What I'm critical of, is that people are collecting things that otherwise would be worthless. When the news stops talking about NFT as a phenomenon, I'm sure a lot of these things will go down in value (or be worthless). Using NFT to manage assets like skins or other collectibles is definitely viable.

Skins is a very interesting idea.

I don't produce much digital art, so I don't think this is for me xD
