SQL and SQLi Forum Section #1
I suggest we make a new section in the coding forum dedicated to SQL.
SQL is an amazing language that is easy to learn. It's used for managing databases.
And it can be a very useful and attractive programming language that gives an advantage for people who learn it.
It helps companies to grow. It helps you to make your company safer.
It is easy to get into. The only thing you need to know is a few pronomens that are put into relation to your syntax.
-----------------------
Isn't it time that we on $inister take the step to add this language to the coding section?
Don't we need to have more cpu-languages with a $inister side?

RE: SQL and SQLi Forum Section #2
SQL injection is hardly a new discovery and we can't add a section for every means of penetration.

This ^

Moreover, discussions are few and far between, so a dedicated forum Is not viable.

No offense, but that section is clearly sub-par. The posts in it are sometimes over a year old.

SQL injection isn't a new thing. You might find posts that are 8 years old and still learn something new.

If we added a section for SQL injection, then we'd need to add sections for XSS or CSRF. In actuality, these are all website/server related.

You cant blame me for suggesting it, isnt that why you have this section for suggestions?

Im not saying this like 'do or die, obey my commands' but if your not going to listen to suggestions, why not just screw away this entire forum part?

To be very exact, i wasnt suggesting it for the technology part, but for the 'coding and design' part.

You have support for VB net framework and visual basic, assembly, C and C++, Java, JVM and JRE, PHP and Python.

And no. You dont have to include anything at all, you have the power to decide. But SQL is a very potential attraction magnet, much better than others, and if youre just gonna ignore that, so be the loss of this forum.

Perhaps I misinterpreted.

If you mean a section for regular SQL usage (outside of security), that might belong more in the PHP development section. Generally speaking, we only add traditional programming languages to that tab.

Okay, well, SQL IS a programming language in every way shape and form.

I dont mentaion this to mock the forum, i do it because im eager to learn, and yes, im a bit greedy but
in a good and healthy way. If I can help you make the forum better in a way it suits me and my ends,
it will be better for everyone.

*Edit: SQL is MANDATORY for successful cracking with john the ripper and hydra, and also works very well with Metasploit.

I wouldn't consider SQL a traditional programming language in the same sense as the others listed under Coding. The usage is much different than say, something like PHP or C++. Generally speaking, you can't write a game or application in strictly SQL, as that's not what it's for.

A game or application might use an SQL database, but it will use other languages to facilitate that (i.e. PHP or C++). That's why I'd recommend posting under the other subforums. I'd argue SQL is generally used with the other languages we have listed.

The tools you mention would fall under the scope of the Technology section.

Do you even know how SQL works?
SQL is a programming language, didnt say its neccessarily a traditional one.
SQL is the tool that lets you extract data from unwilling victims databases.
And for example today i used SQLninja gives me the following:
Quote:sudo sqlninja -m getdata www.insertwebsite.xyz
And the juice in this really is the number 8:
Quote:Select what you want to do:
--- Default Functionality ---------------------
1 - Enumerate Users
2 - Enumerate DBs
3 - Enumerate tables
4 - Enumerate columns of a table
5 - Enumerate rows in a table/column
6 - Find tables from column name
--- Admin Functionality -----------------------
7 - Enumerate connected client IP addresses
8 - Enumerate user password hashes
--- Other -------------------------------------
s - Show enumerated schema
d - Show enumerated data
h - print this menu
q - exit

This is where hashes are extracted from.
In what way would you tell me this is not related to hacking?
I mean, you can decide, but if you say you dont need it.
Whats next?
Do you need another anime section? Maybe a netflix section? Maybe an upgraded upgraded lounge?
I think you see exactly what i mean.
