RE: Dayz #11
I bought Arma II for DayZ last year and only played DayZ for like 5 hours. It was too buggy for me to enjoy.

I prefer normal Arma II or wasteland over it any day.

DayZ is boring, buggy, ugly, annoying, punishing, stupid and broken. Now I have nothing against a game being annoying and/or punishing as along as it does it the right way. However, DayZ just does it all the wrong ways, I can't think of a thing that DayZ does correct besides the concept. Zombies run faster than you, making escape almost impossible, they have to much health for their own good and once you've found a gun you will shortly be killed by another player because the survival part of this game is too broken. There is almost no reason to talk to other players and the game is still filled with modders and hackers, making the game boring to lose against.

I have yet to play the game, but from viewing the videos on YouTube, the game looks terrible. I like realism when it comes to surviving, though.

This game lacks everything about realism, its like a CoD with Zombies in a open world filled with the bugs and glitches from a newly released Bethesda game... 'w'

The ability to scavenge for items and resources make the game seem realism. So far I haven't came across anything similar on Xbox, other than State of Decay, which is garbage.

Yes you can scavenge for supplies, which are preset and can only be found at certain location. You cannot find supplies at random, they respawn at the same locations over and over again. The supplies also spawns randomly and odd, you can find a shotgun in a family house in the kitchen, but you can find a can of food inside a gun store... -w-

The scavenging is just "Go to this location and hope for something good". There are set locations for loot and they respawn every so often. Defeats the purpose really.
