DMX is on life support after a heart attack. Supposedly in relation to a drug overdose.

Rapper DMX is on life support in a New York hospital and in grave condition, according to his family.

DMX's attorney, Murray Richman, said the hip hop artist, whose real name is Earl Simmons, had a heart attack.

"I received a call this morning that Earl Simmons was in the hospital, at the White Plains Hospital, and that he had had a heart attack, and I'm not sure how it was induced and that he's on life support," Richman said.

Richman did not say if the rapper suffered an overdose, as has been reported by a number of outlets.
"I've spoken to the family and the family and I are quite close with each other. I am concerned about his well-being and mindful of his significance. I have known Earl for over 25 years and I believe that his music is quite poignant, very important. He's truly a poet of our time," Richman said.

Let's hope he pulls through and makes a full and speedy recovery.

Thats sad to hear. The same thing happened to lil peep. He was becoming really big when he broke through with his hit, then suddenly, death took him with an overdose.

Dmx is still one of my all time favorite hip hop artist.Back in the
day many of us referenced his first
lp as the book.
Drug addiction takes everyone and
anyone with it down the hole of
nothing ness.
Just like anyone in his situation i hope he pulls through.
I cant help but wonder whom he was with and who gave him this
drug?
I feel like it was fent.After all he has went through i would think his peers
would had not allowed a thing like
this.
Dmx gave me a handshake and a lit
blunt at a ruff ryder show back in the day.I still have that blunt roach.
We do make our own choices.Alot of
prolific rappers i grew up to have
fallen.Ez e for instance to aids...
laid his own bed there but dmx i
honestly feel for worry that if he recovers he will be a vegetable.

Like i said i would really like to see a
leak of more details of what happened..what drug and who gave it to him.I have struggled with drug addiction my whole life and have a good hold on it now.
It is terrible the low quality control and safety these days with substances.
