Coronavirus And The Stock Market #11
The markets will be monitoring Asia region like a hawk, however the current Saudi-Russian oil spat has hindered a heck of lot of the airline & logistics distribution.

Italy appears to be the worst affected in Europe.

I absolutely agree.

In my city, It's becoming wide-spread and they're now talking of having no spectators at sporting events.

RE: Coronavirus And The Stock Market #14
It's definitely overblown by the media at the moment. Of course US elections are coming up and US media decides to panic around the same time the fed's non-existent pump money starts becoming ineffective. What happens? More panic, huge stock drops, "recession is here", etc. Who can save the US? Someone running for president... Realistically time. The fake money pumps were bound to catch up eventually. The market needs to correct itself and subsequently it's going to happen in a drastic way which won't end overnight.

Companies will go back in operation soon, but there will be prolonged wait times for items. Until then, we will continue seeing the market fall which puts everyone with investments in panic mode, causing a harsher fall. The economy will rebound in the summer, but we won't see any real turnaround until Fall/Winter. Oh, guess what happens in the US around that time? It won't be where it was in February making it seem like an overall loss.

My only advice is don't panic sell stocks because they will rebound. Buy option puts asap. It's not done declining for a couple months, so give it another month or so and buy stocks. Give it a year and you'll be sitting +200% at least.

This is a fair point. Think of the long game, not what is happening in the next month or two. The world will eventually recover, and bounce back. I'll be interested to see what happens with any holes left behind by business gone bust.

This thread is interesting to read, as it was created at a much earlier point in this pandemic. Despite this only being a few weeks old, a lot has happened. I was going to work as normal at that point, and now I am on furlough.

It drives me crazy that in my neighborhood (southern USA), I am constantly seeing folks without masks. Large get-togethers are happening....ugh.

This dilemma really hinders the economy. No, wait, the coronavirus almost tipped it over and destroyed it

At the rate It's going, It will destroy It.

7 months later, and the medics have yet to find a vaccine.
