Concert season #1
Is anyone planning on going to any shows in the next few months? Anyone of note you've seen live recently?

I just came home from Iron Maiden and Ghost, which was beyond amazing; sadly, I'm missing Avenged Sevenfold and Metallica tomorrow; I might see Muse on Tuesday; then I'll probably check BandsInTown more than I should until September and maybe pick up tickets for anything interesting.

Also, sidenote, open-air venues are awesome for many reasons, but especially if you're in GA (pit, lawn, etc): there's so many people smoking pot that you don't even need to bring your own to get buzzed.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

I haven't been to a concert in a while - last I went to was a B52s concert in June - but I have a few coming up.

I'm attending ReplayFX in Pittsburgh so there will be some game-inspired bands - Bit Brigade, Powerglove, Mad Gear, Super Thrash Bros - alongside Dethlehem and some cover band, Flashback I think. Past that, I have tickets for a U2 concert up in NY next month (I think Beck is there too so that's cool, I like Beck a good bit) and Dick Dale in August.

I also haven't been to a concert In ages.

My last concert was to see Bon Jovi when they toured In my locality quite a few years ago. Shame you're not attending Metallica, that'll be absolutely wild.

I probably could if I really wanted to, but I've had enough for one weekend Tongue

Yes, you can only do so much on a given weekend.

I grew up when Metallica first formed and I've never seen them In concert.
If they happen to tour In my locality, I'll be there.

My friend surprised me with a Jimmy Eat World and Incubus show last night. Hell of a time and I'd definitely go again.

My parents went to see Bon Jovi a couple years ago too!

Unfortunately, the only concert I've ever been isn't one I can look back on fondly. It was a good night, but when wearing the concert t-shirt at school, a week or so later, a friend asked me if I supported pedophiles. Lead singer was outed as a pedo the day before and I hadn't seen the news yet. So, that day was pretty embarrassing *covers up t-shirt with hoodie*. I'll give you three guesses as to which band it was.

Judging by my own experience and others who've attended, I'd say It's safe to assume your parents would've loved the Bon Jovi concert.

My goodness, you weren't to know of the lead singer being a pedo. Thankfully, your friend (not exactly the way you would've liked It) made you aware of the situation. I do recall reading about It In my travels a few years ago, and the band that comes to mind Is "Lostprophets".
