Well, I was thinking pretty much anything dangerous, I've seen stuff like this before, and I just am not the best explainer.
Then I'll add my first community warning, pertaining to software sales:
If you see a post by some member (really any member, regardless of time spent here), that's along the lines of:
1. a port scanner
2. a brute forcer
3. a proxy list
4. a proxy "checker"
5. instagram anything
and the prices are >$2, it's probably crapola (it probably is to begin with, but hey, it might be worth a couple bucks to someone).
Often, these are being marketed for insane prices (I saw one as high as $90), and they're nothing more than simple VB scripts. Be very cautious towards these.
Secondly, if there isn't a virustotal, assume it's infected. If there is one, don't always trust the result, it can give false flags, but more often than not the flags are legitimate. Myself and mothered often run these in sandboxes or VMs to determine their legitimacy, so if one has been flagged or doesn't have one, look for one of our replies.
