For as little as $1 per month you can have access to a north american VPS. At the moment they have an offer where if you pay upfront for 3 years you get a lifetime account. You have a choice of CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.

I have just taken them up on the offer. With this you get a standard linux install. Nothing ships with it and there appears to be ZERO (0) support. You get a control panel that allows you to start, stop and re-image the vm and thats about all.

So far I personally have set up a VPN and IRC bouncer. Not sure what else yet but the speeds at this point have been surprisingly quick.

Would be a great opportunity for those wanting to experiment/play with a blank linux server. Prices dont get any better than this lol.

I contemplated that... However I am neither Buying, Selling, or Trading anything. As I am not the principle vendor I dont think it really belongs in the aforementioned forum. This is more of an a notification of a good deal available elsewhere? But we can see what the general consensus is on where this should be is lol.

Mmmm it could be used for webhosting... if you wanted to. But strictly speaking it ships with no default support for webhosting services.if we thought of other potential uses for a linux server it would fit in any number of forum categories?
