RE: Cats Vs Dogs? 04-30-2013, 06:46 AM

I thnk that both dogs and cats are great companions, but they are a whole lot different in attitude and behavior . Dogs are usually service-oriented, they want to help us in some way, depending on what breed they are. Nothing pleases a dog more than doing what he is bred to do, and then being rewarded with a pat and a good word or two. Dogs look up to us, and all dogs, regardless of their size or breed, will usually do their best to protect their human.
Cats don't do any of that, and don't care that they don't. They think we are there to take care of them, and don't expect to have to do anything special for a pat or a reward. However, they are a comfort to have around, and can be very affectionate and actually are good company. They are not as needy as dogs are, so if you want an independent pet, that you can either pet or ignore, and he won't be devastated, then a cat is an excellent choice.
