There is plenty of information out there, but what is the most useful piece of career advice you have even been given?

From my own personal experience, I'd say that as long as you don't slow down you can genuinely go ahead and do whatever you want. Slowing down and losing drive are two of the biggest killers.

I actually give advice and not receive It.

It's a long-term commitment, so be sure your choice of career Is something you're genuinely Interested In taking on board. This plays a significant role towards happiness and success.

Which career to choose is a big question as one progresses from mid school to graduation. Majority would have made up their mind before then. Some may not be that happy with their choice. But once you begin your journey, make sure you put in your full mind and effort to your development in your choosen career and rest assured, nothing can stop you from achieving success.

people don't leave jobs, they leave managers
pick a good manager and your career will thank you

Advice is very easy to give but it's difficult to follow. Because every individual has their own interest and we won't be knowing how it would work for others. Do what you love. Sometimes your instincts too work for you.

The manager can be caring, kind, personable, rewarding and a pleasure to work with, however those attributes are not always a representation of the job Itself.

I've worked for a number of managers similar to the above description, but due to the nature of the job and Its requirements, I was stressed and exhausted each and every day.
