So I entered the $100 Australian Freeroll poker tournament today along with 457 other players. Previously I'd come 9th (won $3) and 20th (won $2). This time I came 2nd and won $12. If I'd have won I'd only have got another $3 but it would have been nice to say I won a freeroll.

If I came first I would have won $15 ($100 is the total prize pool shared amongst the top 27 finishers). So I only finished with $3 less than I could have. But the point is I came second when first was so close! No one wants to say they came second in a tournament.

Yeah, it's a personal best finish I guess so I can't complain. Still, when you're that close, it's a little frustrating.
