It was the first online FPS and most likely one of the best FPS ever made. However nobody plays online (like maybe 10 if you're lucky) as everybody moved on to new games though the singleplayer is still great. Quake 2 had a better single player experience not sure about online but more people play Quake 2 online than 3. Quake 3 is all about multiplayer and probably around 70-100 people still play. Quake 4 I never played it. Quake Live is Quake 3 but free and on a browser.

Oh awesome, I might check it out sometime as long as the specs aren't too high? Planning to advance one of my computers as some point. I heard I should start with the video card.

Quake 1-3 are pretty old and can run easily on many computer. Quake 4 might be a bit to advance however it isn't that heavy than a lot of other games.

They don't really have a deep storyline. It's mostly mindless killing of monsters (Quake 1) or cyborg things (Quake 2 and 4). I believe 4 probably has the most interactive story.

I vote for COD, I think it's just more fun to play.

I prefer Call of Duty over the other choices. I had the most action and thrills out of any other similar game.

I've tried them all and CoD is my favorite by a mile. Battlefield is decent and I enjoy it, but Halo sucks.

I enjoy all of these games, and I don't see why people compare them. They all have completely different aspects taht make them interesting.
