As the title explains, I've been wanting to do this for a long time now but never seemed to get around to it. I've worked with Xpath before and tend to use that combined with the default webbrowser component inside of VS. I have a few questions before I really start to put more work into it other than just a GUI shell.

1) Have you seen or heard of someone else making a pastebin bot?

2) Do you know of a better browser component?

3) Is it possible to block ads rather than editing the user's host file? (Within the browser component itself so the program is using a separate host file)

4) Anyone wish to help?

I feel as if the obvious question as to why would I want to make a bot that goes through pastebin will pop up soon enough so ill just save people's time.

Passwords, emails, accounts, IP addresses, source codes, and much, much more great things come from browsing pastebin for hours on end. I do not have all the time in the world, and small text files do not take up an enormous amount of space. Therefore, this seems straight forward enough and can have a large payoff. If you also snoop around on pastebin, you'll probably find some weird ass fanfiction shit. no, just no.

Questions are welcomed and support is even more welcome.

2. Why would you even use one? What for? All you need are sockets and the ability to make HTTP POST/GET requests

So you can see exactly what the bot is doing and not just have it print statements that says its working.

I don't think you understood what I was saying in #2 -- that is clear by your reply.

As for #3, you don't need to visually *see* anything, and you probably won't anyways if your bot is fast enough, which is the way any bot should be. What is the point in slowing it down so the person can see what it's doing. All you need are the results, who cares how you get there?
