Bronze Registered to see links?

Since the suggestion of hide tags have been disapproved before; why don't we make it so you need to be registered to see links? Users won't register if they can just leech things. It'll also make the forum bigger due to users having to register if they want to download stuff.

I support this idea, hide tags usually cause spam but in this case it would bring more registrations and possible community posters.

Users that register once are worthless. They won't contribute anything. Just another record in the database. Ultimately that just requires more resources to run the site. And it takes a whole 3 seconds to register here. It's not like that is any real leech prevention lol.

I understand your point, but Implementing this won't hurt.

Even If 1 out of 20 users (who's a leecher) doesn't register because he simply can't be bothered, that's 1 less unwanted member on the forum.

Personally, I don't think this is a good idea. My logic is:
Why do we want more users? If someone truly wants to contribute and interact, they will register. But if they just want to leech something, they can just take what they want and leave, not bothering us.

No I agree with you

Perhaps keep the better content behind the 25 post limit.
