This is a pretty simple thread. I wondered if those of you, who are from elsewhere in the world, understand British humour? What does it seem like to you?

Left halfway through his performance for a smoke, even though I knew they were locking the doors. I don't think I missed out. I only laughed one time, the entire first half.I enjoy Eddy Izzard, personally, but I can see where you're coming from.

That's because that was mostly jokes related to our stereotypes and about the Scottish vote for independence. Anyone outside of the situation wouldn't understand as you just weren't there. It's not really an example of British humour. It's just humour about Britains stereotypes in my opinion.

I actually enjoy alot of British culture, I grew up on BBC watching British gangster movies and way too much Dr.Who. (ie Layer Cake, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Get Carter, Snatch, etc etc)
It also saddened me to see what we Americans did with Top Gear and Being Human. I am sure there are more shows which we have trashed, but none I can think of at this moment.
