[Methylisothiazolinone]

Hi, I'm Methylisothiazolinone, or Meth. for short. I am a bit new to this, but I've looked up a bit on hacking and programming.

As far as programming and coding goes, I've worked on C++, HTML/CSS/tiny bit of PHP, tiny bit of Python (discontinued once I found C++), and after C++, I'll focus on learning Java and finishing Python. I understand that those who refuse to try to program are... "frowned upon" in the hacker community, also.

For hacking, I would say I'm 65/35 on a grey scale. I don't much enjoy data theft as much as I do understanding how it works. But, what you do is your business. I have learned how to setup a botnet, how to get into routers, how to crack passwords, how to port scan, RFI/LFI, SQLI, Dorking, and various other things.

Some things I'm expecting and hoping to accomplish here is to learn more about Linux, programming, modding, and also have a good time.

You probably shouldn't waste your time learning Java if you're interested in hacking unless you're learning it for a class or game creation.
Also, why discontinue Python? You won't find a better scripting language for creating exploits and stuff related. C++ isn't a great choice either for things that pertain to hacking, but you could be learning out of interest to learn how to program. I'm just assuming you're learning them to advance your skills in hacking.

Something else I'd recommend is learning Assembly. You won't be skillful in actual computer/kernel exploitation until you learn it.

Thanks for your input. For the most part, I just like being able to make a tool that I need if I need it. I also am working to learn to help develop chording (I encountered Doug Platt and he said he was looking for a C++ developer.).

I didn't know that for Python, so I send my gratitude for your informations. I have taken a few looks at Assembly for that exact reason. I was at one point getting a grasp on it, trying to understand corrupt BIOS. I will likely get a compiler up and running to study again. I'll also go back to Python. I just have a few projects to complete once I get a grasp
