I am curious how practical and reliable it is.

What is ZRTP?

ZRTP is a cryptographic key-agreement protocol to negotiate the keys for encryption between two end points in a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone telephony call based on the Real-time Transport Protocol. It uses Diffie–Hellman key exchange and the Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) for encryption. Sounds good, but it's built on "enhanced android operating system", and many other things are vague on their site. It's hard to know what they really mean imo.

They both have their pro's and con's. IMO I like the Turing Phone better. It looks better, plus it's built on an independent OS rather than a "Enhanced Android OS" . This will give them more options and freedom in the way of encryption and such. Android is more centralized with standards and stuff I think.

But on the website of the Turing phone, i didn't find much on their site in the way of security and encryption, mostly just durability of the phone itself.
