I have played almost every x360 game under Bethesda and 'usually' I get the 'disc unreadable' error message on the dash board, And I know its not the disc because its either brand new or has been resurfaced and the only problem iv had with the disc reader is the tray not opening when I want it to.
Iv lost oblivion and this newish fallout new Vegas ultimate edition will only work sometimes yet fallout new Vegas 'regular' version works 24/7, Skyrim is relatively new so no problems.... yet.

So I have a few questions, Does this happen to anyone else, Is there a reason this happens and is there an "easy" fix?.

also my kernel version is 2.0.15574.0 and iv heard that these errors don't occur on slims or newer version of the xbox 360.

maybe take care of your disks and or download them to your hardrive

I bet that would probably be the best way to avoid this in the future.

They are very well taken care of but... Its just for some reason these games don't read. Only if you spend loads of time trying to get them to be read they will load and work fine.

Its more like the dvd can't be recognized, I usually get 'unreadable', 'open tray' or 'play cd'.
