I recently traveled to Japan and really enjoyed it. The big cities are very crowded, but if you go to less popular regions it is not that busy.

I've been to Mexico a couple times along the Riveria Maya region in the last few years. Tulum and Playa Del Carmen being particular highlights. It's a really beautiful place with the best food you've ever had, tropical beaches, ancient ruins to explore etc. Definitely a great place to vacation.
