Majority of streamers/ youtubers prefer OBS, it doesn't crash as much and uses less cpu.

I could really care less what the majority prefer. Obs crashed way too much when I used it, and as to the over power claim, my Pc is completely overkill anyway.
Xsplit is what works for me.

Plus, kinda biased. I wouldn't say it's the best either but it's what I use and it works great.

How do I keep OBS from recording itself? Every time I try to record my screen, it records itself until I minimize it, is there a way to disable this?
Please do not hate me. I am an insane sadist, I hate humans by default, but I try to be nice. I am new to computers and programming.

Why do you people hate me when all I do is try to help? Just because you do not understand me does not mean you should hate me.

I've tried quite a few, OBS defiantly my fave. It records clearly and smoothly, even when I'm running stuff like VirtualWin.

Double posting is funposting

Use hotkeys, or just edit out the first little bit post-production.

Have used OBS for quite some time, and for streaming is the best <3
But if I want some good quality clips, I use FRAPS wich is pretty good. the only downgrade on it, is the size of the recorded files

Plus, The Fact that this was set to a tutorial was a mistake, I've changed it to "No Prefix"

I must admit I'm guilty as I know Fraps and NCH only but never heard of OBS just until now. I'll be sort of trying this and some of those you guys mentioned to look for a recorder that would suit what I need.
