So I don't know about you guys, but for me personally it's always an absolute thrill whenever I'm watching an anime that I like, and I hear some sick OST start playing in the background. I feel like a well-made OST, playing during the right scene, can legit make that scene ten times more enjoyable. Over time, I started keeping a playlist of all the beautiful/epic OSTs I would hear while watching anime. Examples include:
- Attack On Titan: YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T | Symphonic Suite 2 Attack On Titan -WMID- (To be honest, AOT has way more good OSTs, but citing them all would make this post way too long)
- Clannad: Roaring Tides (which, in Japanese, translates to... well... Shionari )
- Noragami Aragoto: Distortion | One Shot
- Parasyte: I Am (Piano Version) | Next To You (Rhodes Version)
- Sword Art Online: Fight!
- Fate/Stay Night UBW: Emiya (Extended) | This Illusion (Extended) (Instrumental)
- Original Fate/Stay Night: Unmei No Yoru

For those of you who are into anime OSTs (or good music in general), I'd highly recommend listening to a few of the above. Very beautiful soundtracks, in my opinion.

With that being said, I'd love to hear some of the OSTs (if any at all) that you guys found beautiful or exceptional during your time watching anime. I always loved discovering new music, and new anime, and OSTs for me are a way to do both at the same time

Very true. I also enjoyed Blue Bird, Sign, & Lovers from Naruto, as well as Vivid Vice from Jujutsu Kaisen.

I do feel like good openings are a little hard to come across though. I tried making a playlist for anime openings once, but it only ended up with like 20 ops (out of 90~ish anime that I've watched up till now).

Beautiful! I haven't watched Evangelion yet, but it's definitely on my "Plan To Watch" list.

I would also recommend, if you haven't heard it already, the piano version of Unravel - Tokyo Ghoul, by Animenz on Youtube. I think you will like it ^^

I agree, it's pretty cool! Though I have to say, I was kinda surprised not hearing a single word of Japanese in there. First time I listen to an anime opening like that.
I did enjoy the metal vibe in the op as well. It makes the track very hype, and reminds me of two other openings in the same genre:

Not on the hype side, but they're the only other metal anime ops that I know of, and they're pretty nice in my opinion.
Also, both Vinland Saga & Parasyte are amazing anime that I would highly recommend if you haven't watched them already ^^

Duuuude, the exact same thing happened to me with that opening. At first, it felt so different and unusual that I didn't like it, but after a few listens I was already playing it on loop for hours straight. I especially love the instrumental part that starts at 0:20.

My all-time favorite would have to be this one, however (even though it's an ending, not an opening).
