To reply to your question - there's no free hosting suitable for a botnet and if you use a cheap, or free host then you're going to jail it's as simple as that. If you choose to go down the path of owning a botnet you're going to need about $600 minimum start up fee.

Someone woke up on the moronic side of the bed this morning. Have you even used Carberp? And Betabot for that matter. The OP didn't ask which bot to use, you just wanted to sound cool by mentioning Carberp and its ub3r 1337 bootkit.

Well, The only botnets I have see get took and people arrested are like in the 1 millions and hundred thousand.

Because people can really say the got busted while they're in prison right? Even guessing someones password is deemed as unauthorized modification of computer material (section 3) of the computer misuse act, which could get you 10 years in prison.
Feds don't care about that, they DO care about botnets. They draw too much attention period, but eh I'm not here to tell you what to do. Just friendly advice. ^^"

Agreed completely. I allow the discussion here, but I wouldn't recommend owning a botnet. Is the risk really worth the reward? That's up to you to decide.

Actually, the idea that it would cost you $600 to setup a botnet is ridiculous. I know people who have service where they not only setup the botnet on a server for you, but provide you with a botnet (Andromeda, Plasma, Clark, Athena and more) all for the price of $29-50 dollars.
