I've also been using Malwarebytes for many years, and It's significantly Improved with Its detection and removal process.

At one point, my PC was Infected with a nasty virus and every traditional AV failed to remove It. Malwarebytes did the job In a couple of minutes.

I'd been wondering about that for quite some time, actually. A family member said malwarebytes was crap, and I wasn't convinced that was true. I'd been using it for years with no problems other than it's usual resource hogging on lower end machines (as does any anti-malware/virus software). I'd much sooner trust your recommendation than theirs on the topic xD

From memory, I've been using Malwarebytes since 2008 and It's served me extremely well In monitoring and keeping my systems malicious-free.

As It stands today, I can confidently say that It beats just about every leading AV with Its overall detection rate and removal of viruses, malware and the like. You're absolutely correct pertaining to It being resource-hungry. This predominantly tends to happen during Its automated scans- you'll notice a spike In CPU usage, but It's only short-lived. All In all, It's a must-have commodity In everyone's security toolkit.

Hi Guys

I personally think that Norton, Kaspersky, ESET or AVG are great, but to be honest most of the largest antivirus companies are more less the same.
There are many antivirus ranking articles on the web with different ones as all of then do not look at the same security criteria.
One of the best way to have a clear vision of the effectiveness of an antivirus is to compare it to others with virus total. The website is scanning files and links through many antivirus and security companies. Moreover when it comes to 0day, antivirus are obviously not worth anything.

I suport this, The new defender came with 2004 prevent even ransomware. it improves significantly year by year. I have been using it with Avira on my windows 10 but now am only using Defender.

I'm the same on a couple of PCs.

At times, Its detection rate exceeds many leading AVs.

I noticed that. Also the new ransomware feature is very nice and worth testing. I usually don't try untrusted sources, even if I will try using them in a sandbox. so I feel it is enough for now for my main PC which I use for coding and designing

Both have significantly Improved over the years.

The good thing about Malwarebytes, Is that It can run alongside any AV without compatibility Issues.
