So, as of tomorrow, I'll be away at camp for 2 months. I'm coming back for two days in July, but other than that, I'll have no connection to SL.

My camp does have a mailing system (no packages) so if anyone wants to shoot me some site updates and news via snail mail, I'll put the postage information at the end of the thread.

Just so you all know, I'll miss you guys a lot. SL is a second home to me, so it'll suck not being able to post and see who's around. Love you guys <3

huh, never knew. I'm not a big fan, seeing as it's mainly memorization, but it's pretty nice

I know it fluently (can't hate something you don't know), I just dislike it. Not so much the language but the community that follows it...

Reasons I hate the language:

1. Easy to reverse engineer
   
2. Insecure as all hell
   
3. SLOWER THAN SLOBOL (fake language that takes 11 years just to compile)
   
4. Not much flexibility
   

Reasons I hate the community

1. Most java programmers are <16 years old (which normally isn't bad, but these ones deserve their own island)
   
2. They think nobody should use anything but Java
   
3. Saying Java is good because it works on every platform is like saying anal sex is good because it works on all genders
   
4. Java is NOT cross platform, Java IS a platform
   
5. Java programmers who also use C++ write everything in Boost (worst c++ library ever)
