I have had Dog few years ago. One Day I gave him to my Niece for a walk, she was 14 and Doggo was blind on one Eye. He ran away and get hit by a car and... yeah thats my pet story..

I've always wanted to own a snake, but In my locality you actually need a license to keep It as a house pet.

Getting a (2) cats was the best thing I've ever done. Growing up my mom refused to have pets (but got one after we moved out -_-), so it was something I had always longed for.
I can tell you from personal experience that getting a pet cured me from the curse of seeking companionship in all the wrong places. If you ever feel like you're in this position, do consider getting a pet.

But beware, it's a decade long commitment, and travelling won't be as easy as before.
