I've also lived In a house, but moving Into an apartment Is the best decision I've made.

It's so peaceful and I really enjoy the privacy.

Finding a good company can be a pretty difficult challenge. Either they're going to charge a lot, or they will not get the job done. After trying to clean the floor by myself, I've decided that time has come for hiring a professional. I've talked with my wife about this, and she said that we should call someone from emop.co.uk because a friend of hers works with them and she was satisfied with their services. Said and done. Next week, they will come to my house and hopefully solve the issue. I don't know how the floors have gotten so bad, haha.

@"Mishapr" do you own a home or do you rent? I find it's easier when you own but financing a home to begin with, that was the hardest part. I'm also a very private person so buying was a fucking nightmare, and reps are really shitty people if you refuse to give them unnecessary details.

I also think that owning is better because that means you can sublease and make free money. Literally, I can rent a guest bed in my house. I've been seriously considering it.

Simply put, yes, this is secondary to having shelter and a bed. But it is very important that your space is clean and personalized to your needs and design requirements too. Good answer.

I own a home. Well, as much as you can really own one. I pay a note on a home.
I have over 100k invested in it but if I miss a few payments, lose my job etc. , the b*nk owns my home and at that point I might as well have been renting this whole time.

In terms of losing your job due to the pandemic and not being able to make repayments on the mortgage, does your bank take financial hardship Into account?

Would you rather have an apartment or a house?

I say, apartment. Well starting off you should get an apartment, the costs are less and maintenance is at a low. Getting a house right away, when you don't even really know how to finance that sort of stuff, you would be drained of all your money. I do not know, I always thought mortgage was worse than rent in a way. But yeah when you grow a little bit older and get more money, then you get a house!

It really depends on how much space you really need and if you are buying or renting. Im at the point where I have a family and want to invest, so a house is a good play for me. Renting is just paying for someone else's investment but can be fine if you don't need as much space.
