There's a documentary and a show on MTV called Catfish and it's pretty interesting. If you don't know, the whole premise is to reveal people who are lying about themselves online.

Has anyone experienced this? Or even been a Catfish themselves? I'd really like to know.

I sometimes wonder if the people I "dated" online (when I was around 14 :/) were really who they claimed to be.

I've never dated anybody online, but I can only imagine.

I do remember flirting with a man on AIM when I was like 13 or 14. He was 23. Now, I wonder what in the world he was thinking. At the time, I just thought I was cute and mature.

Nah, I was a 13 or 14-year-old girl at the time. We chatted off and on for about a year. He was really handsome and in the Marine Corp, supposedly, anyway. That was probably all a lie, but I'm pretty sure he was grown. He would always ask me to send him pictures of myself in my bathing suit. So creepy, right? Like I said, I didn't think there was anything wrong with it at the time. Now, I look back and think about what a perverted psycho he really was!!

No, I don't date online so I wouldn't have this problem. Does seem like an interesting show, however.

It does. I don't generally watch MTV, but I might like to catch an episode or two of this show. I can only imagine.
