"Anybody Here Play Team Fortress 2?"

If so, what is your favorite class and why? Approximately how many hours do you have on that class?

So my favorite Team Fortress 2 class is Spy Wink

Leave your favorite loadouts as well if you want!

Pyro, it makes as a good class for anything whether you're just running out or camping.

The Backburner is a wonderful weapon.

My secondary class (and second most played) is Pyro. I fully agree with you on the backburner, although it depends on how you use it.

I main Backburner, Flare Gun and the Powerjack. Fits my playstyle the best Smile

I USED to play TF2, gave away all my items to a friend since I just got fed up with the game and pretend economy, favourite class would have to be pyro/scout, they just FEEL GOOD when you're kicking ass with them you know?

Yea Scout is a nice class to kick ass with. Flanking is a personal fav tactic.
I don't know when you left, but fyi the TF2 economy is even more shit right now. Keys rising to 6.33 soon.

I never trade, I just play pubs and a bit of competitive, is much more fun than trading 24/7 like everyone does now.
Thanks for checking this out anyways Wink

I just don't understand how the price of keys would go up, you pretty much have an infinite supply and the demand's the same as always, it's just fucking bullshit

Yes I researched this part (learned a lot from backpack.tf website as well, tons of economy specialists on there) and what I got from it was simply:

1. People get an infinite amount of refined, for free, in the game, and use it to buy keys (or sell it via paypall for money to buy keys).
2. Unusual prices go down because people sell them for less keys/buds, so the prices for the keys and buds go up.
3. People are stupid and try to earn money by increasing the price on backpack.tf because they are greedy.

I don't know how much you know, but there was this guy on Backpack.tf called Long. He had 1000+ keys in his bp and raised the key prices by 1 ref just by himself (because he has a lot of rep).

Until Long was banned because admins discovered he 'carded' keys. Carding is stealing credit cards, and use them to buy mass amounts of keys from individuals on Steam.
Thousands got banned, TF2 economy goes to shit.

That's all I know.

That is NOT how economy works, it may work if you could only buy X amount of keys/week, but this is not the case, and even then the prices in the in store are completely static, and when dealing with a free "economy" (if you can even call it that) like TF2's where everyone sells what they have at the amount they want it makes it make EVEN LESS sense, people should just stick to the normal prices that are on the stores (multiplied times 1.5 for hats since they'd be clean) rather than make up their own prices based on highschool economy classes.

You are talking about the Valve TF2 store right?

In that case those prices were already invalid for a long time. People use unofficial prices now that are set by backpack.tf admins and voters.

Example: currently 1 ref is worth 0.31$-0.33$ in paypall.
This makes ref (which again, is really easy to obtain), a great sell on paypall, which people can use to buy mass amounts of keys.

It is really the people with 100's of accounts that hoard metal that ruined the economy. Valve key prices no longer matter.

That's stupid, it's silly to have the people that are already high up on the food chain to decide arbitrary prices when all they're gonna do is change them for their own benefit, and votes mean jackshit when you have enough rep and items to sway the community
