I think you should try minecraft . I really love the game and there is no objective. Build whatever you want. The problem is the game is free BUT
co -op isn't but it is really cheap. (game doesn't end even if you beat the enderdragon and credits come. You keep on playing after they are done)

I struggled with the open-ended scale of that one. I do think it's quite impressive what people can build given enough time though.

It's like it's this generation's answer to Lego.

Personally I tried BioShock on the PC, and it wasn't very fun to me. However, Skyrim looks incredible since you can mod the crap out of it!

I finished Outlast a few days ago. Great game if you like to be scared
Other than that, I play mostly multiplayer games such as Battlefield 3,
Counter Strike:Global Offensive, Dota 2, Left 4 Dead 2..If you want a game with a really good story you should try Mafia / Mafia II..
