I feel guns don't need to be restricted but certain things do such as certain rounds that you don't even need. Why you you need a 50 round clip, you will never use it.

At least it's a step in the right direction. Nice to see some logical thinking people.

Honestly lets be realistic you wouldn't ever need any bullets that are above a normal round for target shooting.

There is no need for armor piercing rounds. Also I find it insane that you can purchase sniper rifles it's so unsafe to be dealing sniper rifles to civilians that have no training.

My idea of gun control is keeping both hands on your weapon and hitting the target.

OP I really hope you aren't serious with your opening statement. Saying that the founding fathers "only had muskets" to think about is ridiculous. You think that they didn't know firearm technology would evolve? By saying that you might as well say that ALL of the constitutional rights and amendments are null and void because they couldn't see this far into the future.

As a Canadian I wouldn't expect you to understand it unless they teach American history and about the constitution in your schools.
Don't talk about it, be about it.

I disagree on this.

The criminals with the guns will have the guns, while the normal people won't. That leaves EVERYONE to a disadvantage.

What if someone comes in to your house with a gun, what will you do? Try to stab him, that won't work because he can easily shoot you before you even get the knife.

That's why we use gun restrictions you understand what the word restriction means right? it means you go through extensive background checks, and you have to pay a decent amount to own a fire arm and the right permits, and not being able to just walk into a store and buy an assault rifle in almost any state without permits as long as your 18 years old.

Not to mention the modifications you can buy for your weapons such as extended clips, sights and other things it's almost like militarizing your whole population good and bad.

And also look at it this way most of the guns that are given to criminals come from being stolen from legal weapon owners and not properly knowing how to lock away their guns and getting them stolen, and in most states you can trade fire arms by word of mouth and no need to exchange paper work and permits making tracking down the owner of a gun if used in a crime becomes almost impossible.

It's just insane you support this.
