After 2 years, Anthony Cumia Finally Talks to his former co-host Opie Hughes #1
A little background:
On July 3rd, 2014, shock jock and radio personality from the popular radio show The Opie and Anthony Show, Anthony Cumia was fired from Sirius XM Radio for making  "racially charged and hate filled" tweets after an alleged altercation with a black woman in times square. In the weeks after Mr. Cumia's firing,  he told newsweek that:
“Had Opie been fired for something, I would’ve gone into the show and at least played the card that I’m leaving if you don’t hire him back. He didn’t do that, and I don’t think he came close. That’s where my resentment started bubbling—when it's starting to sink in that he didn’t try to keep me.”

Opie later addmited to not doing all he could to convince Sirius XM to keep Anthony, stating:
“I didn’t feel like we were on that page anymore."

Anthony later stated on his podcast that:
“Opie had brought up that he saw this ‘Opie and Anthony’ coming to an end. One of the ideas were splitting the show. I’ve got to tell you, in all honesty, I have never heard of this. This was never discussed. It makes no sense."

Mr. Cumia also added:
“I truly believe that Opie was ready to move on. And that was a good opportunity.”

The argument between the two hosts began to become even more heated, when Anthony, apparently frustrated, tweeted:
"I'm so fucking tired of hearing how I wanted to move on from the show. Total bullshit. I wasn't bitching every day how I wasn't re-signing.... Honesty, @OpieRadio, I'm not the one to try to pull a "radio bit." I'd just rather have it aired out on-air. Where no one can pull bullshit ...  I hear, @OpieRadio has clout at SIRIUS. Go to your handlers and tell them to let me on your show. Apparently they know good radio ... now."

In response, Opie tweeted:
"@AnthonyCumia you still are human garbage. Might want to look into what really is eating at you. I'm not the problem in the end."

The story doesn't end there. In December of last year, The Opie & Jim Norton Show, hosted by Opie and O&A host Jim Norton aired thier own dirty laundry too. A on-air argument broke out between the hosts as tensions about Norton appearing on Cumia's show came to a boil. Hughes accused his co-host of siding with Cumia, to witch Norton replied that he would fulfill his contract until October of 2016 and his contract (and show) would be over. Opie fired back saying that Norton should not wait, and leave if he wanted to. Norton then remarked "Can I say goodbye in case you fire me?”

Things were quiet for most of the year, untill yesterday: Anthony Cumia, hosting his podcast, called the Opie Show while it was on air. Opie: "Let's take a call. HG from Long Island..." Cumia: "Is this the Opie show?" Opie: "For the first time in how long? 2 years, 3 months..."

I still find it funny that he got fired for Twitter comments, considering the other stuff they generally say.

I think you mean Anthony. Alot of the fans, myself included, called foul on that very thing. We all thought it was stupid.

You would be surprised how many companies do background checks and extra checks through social media. In my country it happens a lot that companies check the FB or Twitter accounts from their employees.

Very true.

Given people are silly enough to put their personal details for the entire globe to see, It's a very convenient and cheap (In fact, almost no cost whatsoever) way to check the validity and authenticity of a given person.
