Add a web specific coding forum #1
I personally really don't see the need in this sub, and should be replaced with a "Web Technologies" forum.

This forum should have two sub-forums named "Front-end" and "Back-end". Where front-end focuses on HTML/CSS/JS(Angular, etc) and back-end on Node/IO.js/Django/Flask/Docker/Laravel.

As somebody learning NodeJS and various other front end technologies, I'd appreciate this. Smile

RE: Replace Visual Basic & .NET Framework forum #2
Well maybe that should be an added section. I could understand it replacing a "Web Dev" type section. But VB and the .NET Framework have nothing to do with web development. And personally I use the .NET Framework some still. And a lot of new programmers use it. Maybe that section should be added not replacing another.

We shouldn't remove it, and we have many things like it. We have a section for web design which although doesn't cover things like NodeJS it covers a lot of front end stuff. Then we also have some server sided languages here (php & python), but I guess we could benefit from an asp.net section or a ruby on rails section.

We don't need to ditch it, just add some other things, that is all.

Naming It "Web Technologies", Is not relevant to the language's content.

Also, those who're not savvy In programming/coding, having sub-forums named "Front-end & Back End" may be a little confusing.

Updated post, taking this into account.

If someone doesn't understand front-end and back-end, which is pretty self explanatory, then they shouldn't even be in that forum.

I'm in love with it. It was a pain in the arse to get started, but well worth the effort.

RE: Add a web specific coding forum #8
In lieu of this, you could just use Web Design, no?
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.

Don't feel like discussing promises for api calls would fit there, so no.
