If someone did change the past in someway or the other, it would make our present uncertain. An uncertain present is really hard to imagine. About travelling to future, that's always possible. We all travel towards future at a slow pace as we grow in age. The thing we are interested in is how to speed up or slow down this process. Time is like a river. At some places it flows faster, while in some places it flows slower. It is a simple theory (I honestly don't know how it was proved) that the time around a particle of high mass moves slow in time. A simple demonstration of it can be seen on our earth itself. If we stand near a pyramid, we'll observe the activities going on away from pyramid slightly faster. That is the place where the theory of slow time around black hole originates. Black hole has very high mass and it can throw us slow in time considerably if we manage to revolve around it surpassing its super high gravity..

It theory, if you would be able to get to the past and you would change something, then you wouldn't notice because this thing happened already.

You all take time as a straight line, but if time travel is possible, you have to re-create the wheel, time will be made from millions of little circles. I suggest reading The Hitchhikers Guide last episode (fifth one) you will understand what I mean.

I was trying to understand similar concept for 2 years (I knew how it is, but the result is so abstract, that you have to really focus on it... basically, i was thinking how endless looks and how I could make a copy of universe, I have actually succeeded)

Other, more easy to understand theory would be, that every your decision creates a whole new universe. Something like a copy of this one, but with different decisions, for example, there is a universe where I never joined HC and another universe where I never played an instrument and universe where I didn't do either of these... OFC there again, the time is in a straight line...

What Illusion said is actually an interesting theory. We can compare these different universes to different parallel dimensions of same world existing together. Their is a possibility of existance of infinite such dimensions as infinite decisions determine the fate of a world. Though the idea is hard to believe, one should not overlook the power of imagination. So if we somehow travel to past and change our certain decision, we'll simply move to some other dimension where a future of that decision will be seen in effect.

I'm kinda drunk so sorry if I don't make sense...

Well if the universe is infinite, then there is infinite chance of anything...
And if the string theory (and many others) are right, then there are more then 1 universes, therefore you have infinite chance x number of universes. And with the infinite chance, there is a chance that time travel is possible, actually its pretty possible that half of a car will appear in my room right now (that's quantum physics, some part of it...)

That's interesting. I honestly didn't know anything about it. Any place where I can find more details about it?

Thanks bro. Does that prove that E=mc^2 is a wrong relation?
