2013 USBC National Open Championships #1
So from 2/28/13 to 3/4/13, I was in Reno, NV bowling in the USBC National Open Championships. This was my 2nd year competing and last year, I shot a total of 1628 for 9 games. This year, I shot a whole 110 pins more than last year for a total of 1738. I am currently standing in 40th for Team, 99th for Singles, 1st for Doubles, and 41st for All Events total. This tournament is continuous until July and final results are announced in August as well as all cash prizes. I had one bad game during team and if I shot like I did all day, I would probably be in the Top 20. I'm really happy with my results and a huge improvement from last year. I'm going to upload some pictures of the stadium and the leader-board for Doubles.

Dude. Seriously. How do you do it? I just suck at bowling, never been able to figure it out. My highest game EVER was 216, my average is like 120.

Nice work though, that's awesome.

I've been bowling for about 8 years and it was just a lot of practice, reading, research, and watching videos. 216 is a great game in my eyes and won't ever turn down someone's hard work so good job on the high game! Maybe your mechanics are just a little inconsistent and with proper work and knowledge, you could easily get that average up.

Thanks. What's interesting is the high game I got came after a month of bowling 5 nights a week. I got really good (for my average), and then I stopped going. I had fun but it got repetitive. Biggrin

Still love me some bowling though.

Bowling is fun, I would actually like to turn it into a hobby I usually attend. Congratulations on your achievement! Smile

It's a great hobby to pick up. I love having a couple drinks with my friends, shooting a couple games, and just enjoying some time away from home.
