RE: Dub vs Sub #11
I won't vote because I feel both are good in their own place. For example the Death Note or hellsing Dubs are amazing and way better than the subs. I will always give the dub a chance if it exists because when its good its really fucking good. A good 80% of the anime I have watched was subbed tho.

Yea, i kinda agree with this. Death note was like the only dubbed anime i watched where i had enjoyed the dubs. Most dubs are kinda bad after i see the subs one, maybe i just prefer the original voices. So that's about it i guess, i'm voting subs.

If the shit is butchered, sub. If it's at least decent, dub. Favorite is dub.

Sub is almost as good though.

I think it can be on a case by case basis for picking subbed or dubbed. Some series are better dubbed and some subbed. You just got to feel it out. But since I mostly watch airing series or series without dubbed version I'm used to subbed anime.

Depends. I'll watch either. If its something I'm seriously watching, usually sub. Ive seen some horrid dubbing before.

I feel a bit like that too. It seems so much worse after being used to the original voices.

There is a such a difference between the two languages as well. (Or three technically, as American English and British English are technically different languages.) Apparently the Japanese more evenly pronounce sounds whereas we put stress on a particular part of every word. The flow is totally different.

Interesting, I've seen a lot of preference for dubs in the thread but the polls aren't reflecting that as much. Possibly because it's a bit of a case-by-case type thing?

Subbed is good to hear the actual voice actors and its also in sync whilst dubbed can tend to be out of sync and kinda irritates me. Sub all the way.

The translation can also be less proper in the dubs (they use less accurate words, so it matches the lips moving).
