Pretty much subbed, 90% of the time. Occasionally I'll go with dub if I'm doing other things or the voice actors are alright (i.e. Steve Blum).

I remember having this debate with some old friends who got me into anime back in middle school pretty much every day.
Originally, I was more into dub because I couldn't focus on the show and the subtitles (yay, ADHD), but I realized it was stupid and I'd have to wait longer for stuff to come out, so I switched to sub 2 or 3 years ago.

I prefer dub because then i can focus on the show instead of the subtitles since i don't speak chinese
Also i really dislike the squeeky voices of all the female asian voice actors they use. i feel like it ruins the show and the atmosphere becaues theyre so fucking squeeky and high pitched like they tryinna be cute but it isnt cute its just fucking painful

The female english voice actors sound the same, generally even worse.

This. Unless the dub is bad or nonexistent then I don't mind subs.

Sub, Dubs just ruin the atmosphere of it and I find many dubs not done well.
It's kind of like when a movie comes out of a book you really like. Alot of the time, it ruins it because you created a character in your mind already, but the movie chose to portray that character in a different way which ruins the movie and the book.
It's the same thing with dubs vs subs for me. I once tried watching a few episodes dubbed on an anime I started watching subbed, and it ruined the anime for me because I couldn't get their stupid voices out of my head (Claymore).

I have always preferred subs. It took me a while to adjust to subs when I first started because I thought they got in the way. I really cringe when I hear dubs now too, especially as they're usually American (no offence but hearing an American say a Japanese word sounds really warped due to the way they pronounce vowels). Also, I often feel like I'm watching something a 5 year old watched because things sound over-hyped.
Another reason I like subs is because I actually really love how the language sounds. I wish I could speak Japanese.

I don't watch a ton of anime, but I really feel like it's best to take this on a case-by-case basis. Mostly depending on the person, and sometimes depending on the anime. If subtitles distract you and take you out of the experience, by all means, dubs are probably the way to go. But, if you're the kind of person who reads quickly and doesn't get distracted by subs (like me!), they're often the best option, as the original voice acting is generally a lot less ridiculous than the English alternatives.
That said, there are some exceptions. Off the top of my head, Baccano! is one series that is commonly considered to be better in its English dub than it was originally, just due to the extraordinarily high quality of the dub's translation and voice acting. Cowboy Bebop is another popular example of a dub that turned out very well, which is part of the reason it's so popular in the U.S.
Ultimately, just depends on the series, I think. In fact, sometimes both are good, just in different ways. I'm watching Steins;Gate at the moment, and while I definitely prefer the subbed version as a whole, some of the voice actors in the dub really nail the performance, and there's something to be said for hearing things in your native tongue. Definitely going to watch it dubbed after I'm done.
