UBUNTU 16.04 PROBLEM :( HELP ME 09-28-2016, 01:18 AM
#1
Hey folks im having an issue with ubuntu. Anytime i use apt-get i get this :
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?
I have no clue how to fix it and i was wondering if anyone here has any idea on how to correct this.
Thanks!!

Looks like you or something else was trying to perform an update and it was not exited properly.
To start, type jobs in console and reply here either within a [code] or via a picture on imgur.

usually if you have some sort of alternative package manager such as synaptic that happens, if not its likely something else is using it.

Ubuntu is a notorious pain in the ass for things like this. Try restarting and if that does nothing, do what @"DarkMuse" suggested.
It's often the outcasts, the iconoclasts ... those who have the least to lose because they
don't have much in the first place, who feel the new currents and ride them the farthest.
