My proposal is to restrict the contents of every thread with the exception of the Lodge.


Titles should still be viewable. But the content should be only veiwable to registered accounts.
This is to attract more active users for the forum and increasing the actively here.

It does not happen that often... pretty annoying, yet could def live with it.
Perhaps some max. reply per hour limit? That might be complex to implement tho...
+ It could theoretically harm some chad-hero-poster legitimately HQ replying to many threads in a row

Lately on the forum, some malicious users create a thread that other than being spam, if not careful may make people lose money because make you install a script on google chrome that sends them bitcoins; I am sure I don't need to go to deep into this as the admins and moderators may be fully aware of this, but they do it in a very subtle way: they open a thread, and with other spamming account comment that the whole thing worked; in the meanwhile the thread is closed and they only open when the other accounts comment it.

I was thinking that a way to counter-attack these people is to not allow us (normal users of the forum) to close our threads because in this way other regular users will start to identify the spam and comment on it that is indeed spam.

Even if the final solution is to report the whole thing, I was thinking this could help some user to avoid and fall in the scam while the moderators get to delete the whole thread and ban the accounts]]>
